Have you heard or seen the owls that live here in East Kessler?  This year the beautification committee will be hosting the first ever Owl Prowl to bring the neighborhood together and learn about our neighborhood friends we have here in beautiful East Kessler Park.

Several representatives from the Dallas Zoo will be on hand with an owl or two to teach us about these wonderful animals, then, after the presentation they will take us on an Owl Prowl so that we can learn the sights and sounds of our owls and see if we can find some ourselves!.  Please join us!

    Date:  Thurs, Nov 1st, 2018

Time:  6:30 - 8.  Owl presentation first (don't be late!), then Owl Prowl after.

Location:  Trail head of Combs Creek.  Where Kessler Parkway and Junior meet on Combs Creek.

Any questions?  Please contact Chris Hendrix at 214-669-4385.

This is a GREAT Opportunity for the whole family to learn about our beautiful Owls!

The Dallas Bike Ride will take place on the morning of Saturday, November 3 and will pass through many neighborhoods in Oak Cliff. The Office of Special Events and the event’s organizers are working closely with the Dallas Police to minimize inconveniences for residents and businesses by providing for ample opportunities to cross the event’s route. The organizers have distributed notices along the route and created several pieces of information that describe how the ride’s route loop can be entered and left. Maps for each are attached and include police-supervised crossing points.

The event organizers have detailed information about the course, closures and detours on their web site: https://dallasbikeride.com/road-closures/ On that web page, you might find the information about “Traffic Detour Tips For Key Areas” especially helpful. It’s attached as the “Course Detour Tips” file and also includes the locations of dedicated police-supervised crossings for each area.
